Welcome to the first MangaNEXT Akihabara Cosplay Runway Show. Here you will have the chance to strut your hand made Costumes. There will be plenty of cameras, so strike a pose, show your metal, or just act darn cute, the camera will love you.
Walk down the aisles as Ichigo, Domo, Pocky, or just about anything you can create into a cosplay. Here is a chance to finally shine. Don’t wait for people to ask for pictures, GET THEM TO TAKE IT AT THE COSPLAY RUNWAY.
Online Sign-ups:

Sign up hours at the Convention (if available): On site sign-ups will be done at the at the Cosplay Desk.

Check In:
Please check in at the Cosplay Desk during the hours of

IMPORTANT: People and Groups who pre-registered MUST check in at the Cosplay Desk between the hours of 4 PM – 8PM on Friday and 12PM- 4PM on Saturday in order to walk down the Runway. If your group does not check in, those on the waiting list who have checked in will be given your spot.
Rules
1. You must be wearing a costume. Allowed costumes include those from anime, manga, video games, J-rock/ J-pop, and online role-playing games. Please try not to cross Anime/Manga when wearing a costume (example, Naruto with Ichigo’s Sword). Original and fanfic characters are not permitted.
2. Keep costumes to a PG or PG-13 level. MangaNEXT is a family event. There will be young children present. This means no explicit sexual gestures, nudity, or explicit swearing. If you break this rule, you will be asked to leave the convention without reimbursement of badge
3. Props and weapons must adhere to our Weapons Policy. If you are unsure about a weapon or prop, please ask either a member of our Con Safety staff or a staffer at the Cosplay Desk during check in.
4. Have fun!
Technical rules
1. Please come fully dressed and prepared to walk down Runway. Due to allotted time there won’t be much time for dress-ups. Final touch-ups are fine.
2. Anything you bring onstage with you MUST come off with you. No toilet paper, tissues, rice, water, etc. Fireworks, pyrotechnics, or any fire in general is NOT allowed.
3. Please do not throw objects into the crowd.
4. Please keep any groups to no more than six (6) people. However, due to the size of the runway, only one (1) person at a time can walk down and back before the others can go.
5. Stage acrobatics: No, jumping, back flips, just regular struts and walks. You want the cameras to catch you and your cosplay, not you and the blur.
6. Being part of the runway show means you need to be able to see and walk the runway. If your cosplay obstructs your vision, please have someone with you to direct you. We might ask you not to walk down the entire runway if we feel it is to dangerous.
Time Limit Guidelines:
No more then 2 minutes per person. The purpose of the Runway show is to show your cosplay. A start pose, walk, pose, walk and final pose should not take to long.
