MangaNEXT Registration Extended

MangaNEXT has decided to extend registration for just one more week! Be sure to take advantage of this last chance to register for the unbelievably low price of just $20. Registration must be completed no later than midnight on September 21.

MangaNEXT Announces Three More Guests for 2007

MangaNEXT is pleased to announce three more guests for 2007, Jason Thompson, Hiroki Otsuka and Mari Morimoto. Jason Thompson's favorite manga genres are horror, battle manga and romantic comedies. From 1996 to 2006 he worked as an editor at VIZ Media LLC, where he supervised the English editions of Dragon Ball Z, Shaman King, Yu-Gi-Oh!, Secret Comic Japan, Uzumaki, Tekkonkinkreet, SHONEN JUMP magazine and many other titles. His book Manga: The Complete Guide, an encyclopedia of all the Japanese comics released in America, comes out from Del Rey on October 9.

MangaNEXT Official Hotel

Although the deadline for the MangaNEXT special room rate is over, there are still rooms available in the official MangaNEXT hotel, the Crowne Plaza Meadowlands. The Crowne Plaza is only five miles from New York City, and only 3 miles from the Secaucus NJ Transit train station. Panel Programming at MangaNEXT is committed to the exploration of "manga culture" in America. Panels on every aspect of manga and its fan-work cousin, doujinshi, will be a large part of the MangaNEXT schedule. Panels fall into one of four categories.
